Basic Skills Workshops

BASE 51 are now offering Numeracy and Literacy workshops to service users, this activity is in partnership with ENABLE.

Workshops take place on Friday afternoons 2.00pm - 4.00pm.

Drama Workshops in partnership with Streetwise Opera

BASE 51 continues to work in partnership with Streetwise Opera Drama workshops are delivered on a weekly basis and take place every Tuesday afternoon between 3.00pm - 5.00pm at Nottingham YMCA.

Young People's Participation

BASE 51 actively encourages young people to have "their say" in the future development of the Project. This happens through a variety of ways, including regular Young People's meetings and a suggestion box situated in the Open Space area.

Cookery Workshops - Ongoing

Young people are currently taking part in weekly cookery sessions. This involves trying out new and exciting foods, basic food safety, food hygiene, working to a budget, planning, preparing and cooking. With the assistance of staff, the group have planned and prepared the buffet for the BASE 51 Open Day.

The sessions are ongoing and feedback has been very positive.

Past, Present and Future Activities

BASE 51 provide regular activities to promote the general health and well-being of young people through arts and crafts sessions and themed based events. These have included activities to raise awareness about World Aids Day, National No Smoking Day, Healthy Eating and Sexual Health Week.
