Volunteering at BASE 51

Volunteers have always played an important role at BASE 51.

A complete recruitment, training, induction and support programme enables volunteers to develop basic skills and experience in working with young people. Volunteers are recruited on an ongoing basis.

Due to the nature of work at BASE 51, volunteers are required to have some experience of working with young people. The application Form will be considered and those with appropriate experience, skills and ability will be offered an interview. References and a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure will be taken up.

Volunteers are offered supervision on a regular basis, have access to training relevant for their role and are supported throughout by the BASE 51 staff team.
